The Jiribam – Imphal railway project is vital for connecting the North-eastern region and is almost finished, with 93.30% physical progress. It includes many tunnels and bridges over a challenging 111 km terrain. So far, 59.11 km of tunnels have been completed out of the total 61.32 km.
