21st North East Fide Rating Chess Championship-2023 to be Held in Arunachal Pradesh

Arunachal Pradesh is set to host the 21st North East Fide Rating Chess Championship-2023. The event will take place at the Capital Complex in Naharlagun Dree Ground from October 21 to 27.

The event is organized by the All Arunachal Pradesh Chess Association (AAPCA) after an eight-year gap.

North East Fide Rating Chess Championship-2023 is a regional chess event recognized by the All India Chess Federation (AICF) and will showcase players from all Northeastern states participating.

Approximately 300 players are expected to join the championship, providing a valuable opportunity for young and talented chess lovers to compete against the top players from the Northeastern states.

Additionally, for the development of chess in northeastern states, the All India Chess Federation will set up a Live Telecast Orientation Workshop in Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh from October 18 to 19, 2023.

This two-day workshop is designed to provide basic knowledge about live telecasting the games using DGT boards during tournaments.
