Nagaland celebrates Independence Day with joyful music
Nagaland, the scenic northeastern jewel of India, joined the nation in celebrating the 77th Independence Day today, with a burst of harmonious melodies and celebratory fervor. The picturesque state reverberated with the melodious sounds of music as it marked the important day. The celebrations, across the state, captivated both residents and visitors alike.
In a distinctive show of patriotism, Nagaland released a collection of patriotic music videos, capturing the hearts of the Indians. The talented duo of Atzing K Konyak and Wangchem Konyak from the Mon District Police released a beautiful rendition of the classic AR Rehman’s “Maa Tujhe Salam.” The soul-stirring performance rekindles the flame of patriotism.

Adding to the musical tributes, artist Imnainla Jamir released her rendition of “Sare Jahan Se Accha” on her official YouTube channel, marking the occasion of Independence Day with a powerful gesture of unity and pride.

Apart from the music and cultural performances, Nagaland took the opportunity to highlight its achievements and initiatives aimed at fostering growth and development. During the state-level programme celebrated at Nagaland Civil Secretariat Plaza in Kohima, Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio hoisted the National Flag and took Salute from 21 parade contingents. He addressed the state on the occasion where he highlighted projects that have positively impacted the lives of the citizens.
As part of the 77th Independence Day celebrations, Dimapur police, Assam Rifles, NCC, and the education sector jointly organized the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ rally in Dimapur. The rally from the CP office to the Clock Tower demonstrates the unity and pride coursing through every corner of the state.

Marking the celebration, all government offices, institutions, public and private buildings hoisted the National Flag. Various programmes and events were organised at districts headquarters and sub-divisions of the state. The AIR, Akashvani Kohima, also celebrated the 77th Independence Day at the Office premises. Head of Office, Akashvani Kohima, S Udaiyar hoisted the National Flag.
