The new year 2024 in the Northeast India will begin with a vibrant symphony of music and business, as Nagaland prepares to host the 4th edition of the Asia Music Summit in its capital city, Kohima, from February 1-3, 2024.

Organized by the Task Force for Music & Arts (TaFMA) and Musiconnectasia, the three-day musical summit aims to provide a platform for musicians, music professionals and enthusiasts from across Asia to network, collaborate and explore new opportunities.

The Asia Music Summit is an annual gathering of influential figures in the realms of culture and the creative industries. The summit strives to establish a worldwide platform facilitating the exchange and generation of ideas and concepts. The forum is managed and guided by a team of esteemed music professionals originating from various regions across Asia.

This music event promises to be a melting pot of musical talent, industry experts, and cultural exchange, putting the spotlight on the rich musical heritage within Asia and beyond. The event will feature B2B conferences, workshops, exhibitions, live music performances, panel discussions and networking sessions.

CM Neiphiu Rio took to the microblogging site X (formerly Twitter) announcing about the event. “I look forward to welcoming delegates from 15 countries & representatives of music festivals from different parts of the country & abroad,” he wrote.

The CM further said that Asia music Summit would be one of the biggest B2B and music expos in the country and further establish Nagaland on the international music map.

In reply to the CM’s post on X, Musiconnectasia expressed their gratitude to Neiphiu Rio. Musiconnectasia wrote, “We on behalf of MusiConnect Asia extend our gratitude and thanks to Honourable Chief Minister of Nagaland Sri Neiphiu Rio for allowing us to hold the 4th edition of Asia Music Summit in Kohima, Nagaland from 1-3 February 2024 in association with Task Force for Music & Arts (TaFMA).”

The event will not only boost the local music industry but also attract tourism and investment to the region. Beyond the summit, visitors can delve into the unique culture and explore the breathtaking beauty of Nagaland consisting of rolling hills, lush valleys and cascading waterfalls.
