The festival promises to be a vibrant celebration, bringing together an array of activities that will appeal to all ages and interests. During the daytime, attendees can engage in various indigenous games that reflect the rich cultural heritage of the region. These activities are designed not only for entertainment but also to keep traditional games and sports alive.
As the sun sets, the WWF-META will transform into a hub of musical performances, providing a platform for both local and emerging artists to showcase their talents. The fusion of traditional and contemporary sounds will resonate through the tranquil surroundings. Local artisans will also have stalls to showcase their handicraft products.
Thungchibemo Lotha, a representative of the event, highlighted that the festival encompasses music, art, and adventure. It will be an annual event with the goal of creating job opportunities, especially for local youth.
The inaugural WWF-META’s broader goal is to tap into the tourism potential of Nagaland, particularly in the Wokha district. It seeks to attract visitors from both within and outside the state and provide entertainment for people from all sections of society.
