ITC Hotels signs management agreement with Welcomhotel Kalimpong

ITC Hotels has revealed its partnership with Pravez Constructions Private Limited for the Welcomhotel Kalimpong resort. This new 70-key greenfield upper project spans four acres and offers luxurious rooms with stunning Himalayan and valley views.

It features various amenities, including dining options, a fitness center, children’s club, games room, library, and a spa. Additionally, the resort provides more than 15,000 sq. ft. of event spaces, both indoor and outdoor.

ITC Hotels already has two luxury properties in West Bengal, ITC Royal Bengal and ITC Sonar. The addition of Welcomhotel Kalimpong will increase their presence alongside other Fortune brand properties in the area.

Anil Chadha, Divisional Chief Executive of ITC Hotels, expressed that the addition of Welcomhotel Kalimpong will strengthen ITC’s presence in West Bengal, bringing their total to eight hotels across different segments. He also said that the Welcomhotel brand is rapidly expanding in both business and leisure destinations, and appreciated the confidence the owners they have in their brand.

Binod Kumar Gupta, Chairman of the BLG Group, expressed on their significant project in the peaceful hill station of Kalimpong. He said that they’re not only constructing a hotel but creating a serene property influenced by local culture, committed to sustainable luxury. ITC Hotels, soon going to be separated from their parent company is on the way to become independent and is actively expanding. The recent management deal for a 70-room resort in Kalimpong, West Bengal will boost ITC Hotels presence in the state, adding to its existing eight hotels serving diverse market segments. Currently, ITC Hotels operates 25 Welcomhotels throughout India, with more in development.
