Social networking app ‘Meitei’ launched
A social networking mobile application called ‘Meitei’, created by Manipur Digital, was launched on Sunday at the Soibam Leikai Ayangpalli Road Youth Club (SAYC) community hall. The application aims to connect Meitei people around the world, providing a platform for them to share news, culture, and ideas.
Speaking at the launch event, social activist Maheshwor Thounaojam highlighted the importance of unity among the community. He expressed his belief that the app would play a crucial role in bringing together Meitei people from different parts of the world.

“The Meitei community has a rich history and culture, and it is important that we preserve and promote it,” said Thounaojam. “The app will provide a platform for us to do just that.”
The app features a variety of functions, including a news feed, messaging, and group chat. It also includes a directory of Meitei businesses and organizations.
“We are excited to launch the app and we hope that it will be a valuable resource for the community,” said Kohei Rajkumar, proprietor of Manipur Digital. “We are committed to continuing to develop the app and add new features that will benefit our users.”
The app is available for free download on the Google Play Store.
