Nagaland’s Kenei Ritse crowned Miss North East 2023 at the Beauty Pageant held in Sikkim
In a glittering ceremony held at the Saramsha Garden in Gangtok, Sikkim on November 5, 2023, Miss Kenei Ritse from Nagaland was crowned Miss North East 2023. The pageant, which saw participation from the North East region, was a grand affair, showcasing the beauty, talent, and culture of the region.
Miss Ritse, a 20-year-old student from Phek district in Nagaland, impressed the judges with her poise, intelligence, and captivating stage presence. She was declared the winner after a series of rounds. She represented the Beauty and Aesthetics Society of Nagaland (BASN) and the Miss Nagaland Organization.

The first runner-up was Miss Anamika Borah from Assam, while Jennifer from Mizoram was adjudged the second runner-up. Reigning Miss Nagaland, Miss Hikali Achumi, won the title of “Miss Beautiful Smile” in the competition.

Speaking after her coronation, Miss Ritse expressed her gratitude to the organizers and the people of Sikkim for their warm hospitality. She also pledged to work towards promoting the rich culture and heritage of the North East region.
The Miss North East Beauty Pageant is an annual event that aims to promote tourism, unity, and cultural exchange in the North East region. The pageant also provides a platform for young women from the region to showcase their talent and aspirations.
The event was graced by the presence of Sikkim’s Chief Minister, Prem Singh Golay who also took on the role of the event’s host.
