Minister Bimal Borah inaugurates 2023 Dibrugarh Trade Expo
Bimal Bora, Assam’s Minister of Industries & Commerce and Public Enterprises, and Cultural Affairs inaugurated the “Dibrugarh Trade Expo 2023” yesterday.
The Expo organized by Assam Trade Promotion Organisation (ATPO) in association with DIC Dibrugarh, will be held the October 9, 2023. It is aimed to provide a platform for indigenous entrepreneurs and businesses showcase their wide array of products while also expanding their trade and business links.
Minister Bimal Borah wrote about the event on his X account, “In addition to fulfilling Hon’ble PM Adarniya, Shri Narendra Modi Ji’s vision of creating an ‘NayaBharat’ that is Aatmanirbhar, the Dibrugarh Trade Fair aligns with HCM Dr. Himanta Biswa dangoriya’s vision and serves as a dynamic platform catalyzing Assam’s entrepreneurial growth. It supports the Hon’ble Chief Minister’s goal of economic prosperity by providing local businesses with a vibrant stage, fostering trade, commerce, and market access thereby aligning with the broader vision of positioning Assam as a dynamic business and investment hub.

“The Assam Trade Promotion Organisation (ATPO) was formed under the Department of Industry, Commerce and Public Enterprises to promote industry and commerce in Assam and has been playing a pivotal role in ensuring that local businesses have access to a proper market for their products. The organization plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between producers and consumers and creating opportunities for businesses to showcase and promote their products and connecting them with potential buyers thereby contributing to the economic development of the region by fostering trade and commerce” added Minister Bimal Borah.
Duliajan MLA, Terosh Gowalla also attended the event along DC Dibrugarh, with top level executives of Assam Tourism Development Corporation, Assam Trade Development Corporation, Assam Petro-Chemicals Limited, and other dignitaries besides Minister Bimal Borah.
