Agniveer Recruitment Rally for Manipur scheduled from November 28 to December 8, 2023

The Indian Army has scheduled a Phase-2 Agniveer recruitment rally for Manipur from November 28 to December 8, 2023, at various locations in the state.

The recruitment rallies will be held at:

• Brigadier Thomas Ground, Kangpokpi: November 28 to 30, 2023.
• Koirengei Old Airfield, Imphal East: December 3 to 4, 2023.
• Peace Ground, Churachandpur: December 7 to 8, 2023.

Shortlisted candidates will be tested on a 1.6 km run and some basic physical fitness tests in addition to physical measurements during the screening at the rally site.

The Agniveer recruitment is being conducted under the new Agnipath scheme, which was launched by the Indian government in June 2022. The scheme aims to recruit young people into the armed forces for a four-year period, after which they will be released from service. A quarter of the Agniveers will be offered permanent jobs in the armed forces, while the rest will be given priority in recruitment to other government jobs.

To be eligible for the Agniveer recruitment, candidates must be unmarried males between the ages of 17 and 21 years. They must also have passed Class 10 with a minimum of 50% marks.

As part of the new recruitment system, Phase-I which involved an online Common Entrance Exam (CEE) was held from April 17 to 26 at various centres.

Shortlisted candidates have already been intimated through their registered email IDs by the Indian Army. The shortlisted candidates can download their Admit Cards for phase – II using their login credentials.
