CM Himanta Biswa Sarma to interact with AROHAN mentee students at Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra today from 5:30 pm

Ranoj Pegu, Cabinet Minister for Higher Education of Assam announced on his twitter account that CM Himanta Biswa Sarma will interact with the AROHAN mentee students from Dhemaji, Dibrugarh, South Salmara and Hailakandi today at Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra from 5:30 pm.

The AROHAN Scheme is a mentorship program designed for talented students in grades 9 to 12. Each mentor provides guidance and support to up to five students over a period of four years with primary focus on skill development and personal growth.

Bimal Bora, minister of Industries and Commerce of Assam also shared his views about the AROHAN program. He has recently visited IIT Guwahati under the AAROHAN program. On this occasion, he extended his best wishes and encouraged all the mentees to seize the opportunity and maximize their learning experiences from the mentors.

Sharing his views on X, Bimal Bora said, “As envisaged by HCM Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma dangoriya, the AROHAN is a strategically crafted Mentor-Mentee program crafted to offer multifaceted advantages to participants. With a core focus on academic support, the initiative delivers mentoring and counseling to high-achieving students, elevating their academic performance and understanding while guiding them to making informed decisions about their future careers.

The program goes beyond traditional education by exposing students to diverse experiences and opportunities, fostering personal growth, and expanding their horizons.

Emphasizing inclusivity and equality, AROHAN ensures that talented individuals from government schools have equitable access to mentorship. By nurturing and guiding the younger generation, the program aspires to make a positive societal impact, creating a well-equipped and empowered group of individuals. Diverse mentorship, involving professionals from various backgrounds, enriches the learning experience by providing varied perspectives.

Was immensely privileged to have interacted with various mentees and mentors from the districts of Dhemaji, Dibrugarh, Hailakandi, and South Salamara Mankachar at the IIT Guwahati. On the occasion, I extended my best wishes and encouraged all the mentees to seize the opportunity and maximize their learning experiences from the mentors.”

Additionally, there will also be a performance by the famous Assamese singer Priyanka Bharali on today’s program.
