EastTech23: Guwahati to Welcome India’s First Northeast Defense Technology Exhibition
Guwahati is set to host the first ever defense tech Expo, EastTech23, being held in the Northeast region of India. It is scheduled to take place on 10th and 11th of October at the Maniram Dewan Trade Center.

This Expo offers immense potential as the first-ever defense technology exhibition. It will feature state-of-the-art weaponry, tech solutions, military vehicles, and drones. Over 200 local manufacturers, including MSMEs and startups, will participate, aligning with the government’s AatmaNirbhar Bharat vision for self-reliant India in the defense sector.
Making the announcement on X Bimal Borah, state commerce and industries minister said, “In the spirit of a NayaBharat that is AtmaNirbhar as envisioned by our Hon’ble Prime Minister Adarniya Shri Narendramodi Ji, coupled with the renewed thrust on industrial and entrepreneurship development by GoA led by Dr. Himantabiswa dangoriya, adgpi one of the world’s most powerful forces along with the Govt of Assam is all set to host EastTech23; the North East Region’s first ever expo that will showcase India’s prowess in Defence Manufacturing on the from 10th & 11th of October 2023 at Maniram Dewan Trade Center, Guwahati.”
