Guwahati Jal Board receives award for its e-Governance initiative in water supply services
The Guwahati Jal Board (GJB), the water supply and sewerage board of the city of Guwahati, Assam has been conferred with the “Awarding Innovation” by the Centre for Innovation in Public Systems (CIPS) at the Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI) in Hyderabad. The award was bestowed upon GJB for its e-governance and IT initiative titled “Web Based Water Supply Connection Registration & Payment System.”
The Web Based Water Supply Connection Registration & Payment System is a fully digitized system that allows consumers to apply for new water supply connections, pay their water bills, and track their water usage online.
