Meghalaya Cherry Blossom Festival to be held at Ri Bhoi

The venue for Meghalaya Cherry Blossom festival which was usually held at Shillong will be changed to Ri Bhoi and the festival is scheduled to be held from November 17 -19, 2023.

Over the years, the Meghalaya Cherry Blossom festival has evolved into one of India’s premium Music Festival with Indian and International artists making a beeline for the festival.

This year, the cherry blossom festival boasts a lineup of artists, including Ronan Keating, R&B artist Ne-Yo, Jonas Blue, Hybrid Theory, and Kenny Music. They will be here in India for the first time.

The Festival features a variety of events, activities and art. The festival, held during the autumn months when the cherry trees in Meghalaya are in full bloom and turn the entire city of Shillong pink, providing a lovely and natural background for tourists and visitors.

In 2021, the Shillong Cherry Blossom festival recorded a footfall of 45,000. Last year however, the festival had to be cancelled last year in view of the Mukroh firing incident. This year, the organizers are targeting a footfall of over 90,000.
