First Nagaland Theatre Festival to be held on September 15 at RCEMPA, Kohima

Marking a historic milestone in Nagaland’s cultural journey, the first ever Theatre Festival of the state is scheduled to be held on September 15-16, at the Regional Centre of Excellence for Music & Performing Arts (RCEMPA), in Jotsoma, Khomia.

The Task Force for Music & Arts (TaFMA) in collaboration with home-grown theatre group, Hill Theatre are organizing the ‘Nagaland Theatre Festival’. The ‘Hill Theatre’ group/company is jointly formed by Bendang Walling, Kilangtemsu Imsong and Limanungdang.

The festival will feature ‘The Case of Longti Village,’ a play based on a novel of the same name by Sentilong Ozukum. It was adapted for the stage by Walling and designed by Thoudam Victor Singh and V Uto Chishi with Imsong as the assistant director.

The play will be staged on the opening day at 4:00 pm, September 15 and the ticket charges are nominally priced.
