The Bangladesh delegation’s visit to Dimapur is a sign of the growing cooperation between the Indian and Bangladesh Air Forces. The two air forces have been conducting joint exercises and training programs on a regular basis in recent years. The visit is also a reminder of the historical ties between Dimapur and the BAF. Dimapur played a vital role in the establishment of the BAF during the Bangladesh Liberation War in 1971.

Cooperation between the Airforce of India and Bangladesh is helping to enhance the interoperability of the two air forces and to improve their ability to respond to common security challenges. The visit also holds tremendous promise for the development of the BAF. The BAF is a relatively young air force, and it is still developing its capabilities. The visit to Dimapur is an opportunity for the BAF to learn from the IAF and to adopt its best practices.

The Indian and Bangladesh Air Forces being the two most powerful air forces in the region, the cooperation is helping to maintain peace and stability in the region.
