The Northeast region makes up about 8% of India’s total land area. It shares borders with countries like China, Myanmar, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Bhutan. This presents both challenges and opportunities. The challenges involve border security threats and cross-border terrorism. The opportunities include trade, commerce, and tourism. Despite these challenges, the event organizers believe the northeast region has great potential for economic growth because of its biodiversity, eco-tourism potential, traditional crafts, and rich cultural heritage.
The conclave offers valuable opportunities for young leaders. It aims to foster collaboration, innovation, and inclusivity. The event features networking, knowledge-sharing, expert discussions and skill-building workshops, all designed to benefit enthusiastic young leaders seeking growth and development. It’s a platform for them to connect, learn, and enhance their skills.
The official statement outlines the requirements for eligible youth leaders. To participate, they need a genuine interest in SDGs, leadership potential, residency in the region, and the ability to attend the entire event. These criteria ensure a meaningful and committed participation from the selected individuals.
You can apply for the conclave until October 5, 2023. Make sure to submit your application before this date to be considered for participation. Don’t miss the deadline!
