Women entrepreneurs in Northeast India often go unnoticed outside their region. They play a significant role in the local economy and society. These women are not just businesswomen, they are also making a positive impact in various aspects of life. Their stories are inspiring and show how they overcome challenges and break stereotypes.

Senya Lowang, a woman entrepreneur from Arunachal Pradesh established Misty Fall Valley, a venture that strengthens the local community by creating organic tea blends and crafting wellness blends using indigenous plants, herbs and fruits. It has been recognized as one of the top 10 startups by Arunachal Pradesh Innovation and Investment Park, the Department of Planning and Investment, and IIM Calcutta.

Supporting the venture on X, DoNER Ministry of India said, “”Entrepreneurs are Innovators That Bridge the Divide & Bring Prosperity to People. Such is the story of Ms. Senya Lowang from Arunachal Pradesh. The Nari Shakti is revolutionizing the vision of Vocal for Local in Northeast India by giving a market to the products of her people through her venture Misty Fall Valley. Aido J Pertin another entrepreneur from northeast has established Studio Aimi Dana, a venture specializing in wax scented candles, soaps, and skincare products. The studio was founded with a dedicated investment, reflecting Aido’s unwavering passion. A portion of the earnings from the studio goes towards supporting a spontaneous old-age home in Pasighat, demonstrating Aido’s commitment to giving back.

Another women entrepreneur from northeast, Tamchi Kache founded Lush Brown Beauty Academy in 2018, which provides internationally-acclaimed courses in Semi-Permanent Makeup (SPMU).She is an internationally-certified Permanent Makeup (PMU) Master and a licensed Medical Aesthetician. she is first Indian to win the prestigious Global PMU competition in Bangkok, Thailand, representing India.
