Arunachal Pradesh CM Pema Khandu, accompanied by Union Minister for Earth Sciences, Kiren Rijiju, and Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda visited the Indian Army soldiers at Mago Chuna area, the last Indian village on the India-China border region. The trio were visiting the border area to spend time with the army personnel on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti.

Speaking at the occasion, CM Khandu said that the moment was also an opportunity to celebrate unbreakable friendship between the Army and Civilian. He also highlighted that Tawang has exemplified civilian-military bonhomie.

Union Minister for Earth Sciences, Kiren Rijiju wrote on his X account “Very memorable event held at Chuna to honor Army & ITBP jawans who are guarding our border. It was initiated by Arunachal Pradesh CM Pema Khandu ji along with GOC 4 Corps. Our border is safe. Vibrant Villages Program launched by PM Narendra Modi ji is transforming our border.”

Bollywood actor, Randeep Hooda who is a frequent visitor to the state wrote on his X account “was really looking forward to meeting the participants of the marathon and witness the tug of war … unfortunately due to a weather snag the chopper couldn’t take off. I guess was destined to drive to #Tawang and see more of the beautiful Northeast”

While the Chief Minister sang for the Army personnel

Actor Randeep Hooda was seen dancing and enjoying the moment with some classic Bollywood songs.

The Chief Minister also met with the villagers of the border villages and handed over the compensation cheque to the residents for the land acquired for the construction of 18-km Mago-Thingbu Hydel Road. The completion of the road has come as a big relief for locals and defence personnel. The CM informed that the journey from Tawang to Mago took nearly two days, but has been reduced to less than an hour with the construction of the road.
