Sojourn Past by ReDimension Games among the top 5 finalists for the IGDC ‘Upcoming Game of the Year Award
Nagaland’s gaming startup, ReDimension Games, has secured a place among the top 5 finalists for the ‘Upcoming Game of the Year Award’ at the India Game Developers Conference (IGDC). Their game ‘Sojourn Past’ places them alongside billion-dollar companies that have been competing for the award.
The other 4 finalists are Dream Cricket 2024 by Dream Game Studios, Fishbowl by imissmyfriends.studio, Metal Heaven by Xigma Games and Indus Battle Royale by SuperGaming.
The IGDC is scheduled to take place from November 2 to 4, with the award ceremony set for November 3, 2023.

The PC game, ‘Sojoun Past’ by ReDimension Games Studio is planned for release in 2024. Now, their selection at the IGDC gives them an important opportunity to improve any flaws in the game.
Programmer and designer of the game ‘Sojourn Past, Pekru expresses that the conference provides them a wonderful opportunity to showcase their creation and get feedbacks from the industry professionals.
IGDC Awards is an initiative by the India Game Developers Conference to identify and reward Game Developers and Studios across various categories. The nominations are judged by an international jury consisting of leaders from different verticals of the Games industry.
The India Game Developers Conference is well-known as India’s premier gathering for game developers, where industry professionals come together to share ideas and experiences.
ReDimension Games Studio is a gaming startup based in Kohima and has a small team comprising Pekrukhrietuo, Imlijungshi and Loyievi. Pekrukhrietuo programs and designs the game, Imlijungshi creates the game’s assets while Loyievi composes music for the game.
Pekru, a B. Tech in Computer Science Engineering met Imli through Instagram which eventually led to the establishment of the gaming studio ReDimension Games. Later on they collaborated with Loyievi for providing music to their game.
