Arunachal’s Tawang is in the news for marking a transformative leap in the state’s hospitality landscape by opening a first-ever 5-star hotel in the region. In a spectacular inauguration ceremony attended by esteemed dignitaries, Chief Minister Pema Khandu unveiled a magnificent 5-star hotel named Vivanta Tawang.

The arrival of Vivanta Tawang promises to redefine the tourism experience in this picturesque region, offering discerning travelers a haven of unparalleled luxury and comfort. This luxurious establishment, a venture by the renowned Vivanta Hotels is set to open its doors to tourists on December 26.

In a post on the microblogging site X, Chief Minister Pema Khandu announced the opening of Vivanta Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh. He also shared that room bookings will be available from December 26 onwards on vivantahotels.com.

Vivanta Tawang has 80 well-equipped rooms and suites, each designed to offer mesmerizing views of the snow-capped mountains and verdant valleys that surround the hotel. The central atrium design fosters a warm and inviting atmosphere, enhanced by heated wooden floors and walls adorned with walnut veneer.

But the hotel’s elegance is not merely skin-deep. Vivanta Tawang seamlessly blends modern amenities with exquisite touches that celebrate the rich cultural heritage of Arunachal Pradesh. Vibrant motifs, traditional masks, and design elements inspired by the distinct architectural style of Tawang add a touch of authenticity to the luxurious experience.

Tawang is a captivating town known for its rich history and beautiful landscapes. Famous for its spiritual significance, Tawang is where His Holiness 6th Dalai Lama Tsangyang Gyatso was born, and it houses Asia’s oldest monastery dating back to 1680.
