Air India on Monday introduced a fresh programme called Project Abhinandan. This project aims to provide Air India passengers a personalised and hassle free-on- ground experience at 16 different airports across India.

The airports include Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Calicut, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Delhi, Goa, Guwahati, Mumbai, Nagpur, Vishakhapatnam, Pune and Varanasi. The Air India has stationed trained Service Assurance Officers at these airports. These officers are here to help Air India passengers at different spots in the airport, like check-in, lounges, near the boarding gates, during transit or arrival. This is meant to make things easier and more convenient for travelers and improve their overall experience.

These police officers have also been trained to deal with different passenger problems, like canceled flights, missing connections and delayed baggage delivery at airports. 100 such officers have already been hired by Air India and deployed in these airports.

Rajesh Dogra, who holds the position of Chief Customer Experience & Ground Handling Officer at Air India says that many air travelers find airports intimidating, no matter how often they fly. He mentioned that Project Abhinandan is Air India’s honest attempt to make the airport experience easier and better for its passengers.

Air India wants passengers to feel welcome and relaxed when they travel with them, and they’re working to make sure the airport experience is less intimidating for everyone. This service is available to all passengers, regardless of the class of cabin they have booked, and is provided to ensure a seamless and enjoyable travel experience for everyone.
