Amazon launches ‘Mission GraHAQ’ in the North East to raise awareness

Amazon India recently announced the expansion of its consumer awareness campaign, Mission GraHAQ, to the North East India. The three-month long campaign will educate and empower consumers about online shopping, helping them make informed decisions and build a trustworthy and safe experience for digital shoppers.

Mission GraHAQ will leverage the power of radio to reach a wide audience across the North East region. Amazon will produce interactive radio shows that will be broadcasted thrice a week on All India Radio‘s (AIR) 29 radio stations in the region. The shows will be aired in nine local languages – Hindi, Bengali, Assamese, Nagamese, Garo, Khasi, Nepali, Manipuri, and Mizo – to ensure that the campaign reaches consumers in their preferred language.

“We are excited to expand Mission GraHAQ to the North East region and continue our efforts to empower consumers with knowledge about safe online shopping practices,” said Chetan Krishnaswamy, Vice President of Public Policy at Amazon India. “Radio remains a powerful medium for communication in the region, and we believe that this initiative will help us reach a wider audience and make a positive impact on the lives of consumers.”

  • Product information and verification
  • Grievance redressal mechanisms
  • How to spot fake products and scams

Mission GraHAQ was first launched in 2022 and has already reached lakhs of consumers in over 100 cities across six states. The campaign has used a variety of innovative approaches to reach consumers, including street plays, interactive workshops, and social media campaigns.
