Not many Nepali and Bengali books have been exchanged in the past. Some Nepali writers like K.S. Moktan, Ghanshyam Nepal, Bhaichand Pradhan, Lalijan Rawal, and Usha Rai have translated Rabindranath Tagore‘s writings from Bengali into Nepali.

Suraj Sharma, from Darjeeling, was a journalist. He’s now one of the few Nepali writers translating Bengali literature into Nepali. He went to a Bengali school but comes from a Nepali family.
